Gulfport Energy Corp.'s natural gas production surged in the second quarter of 2017 due to increased drilling in Ohio and development of recently purchased assets in Oklahoma, reports The Oklahoman. The Oklahoma City newspaper says Gulfport’s second-quarter gas production jumped 56% compared to the same period in 2016 and was 22% higher than in the first quarter of 2017.
