Denver-based Carbon Natural Gas Co. has acquired natural gas acreage and facilities in West Virginia from an undisclosed seller for $21.5 million, reports the Pittsburgh Business Times. The newspaper says the acquisition includes about 7,500 million cubic feet of natural gas production per day, 52 billion cubic feet of gas reserves and 311 miles of pipelines and gathering lines. Carbon owns, operates and develops oil and gas properties in the Appalachian, Illinois and Ventura basin areas. For more, read the full story.
