OilfieldLodging.com participated with over 400 exhibitors at the 2015 DUG Eagle Ford Shale Oil and Gas Conference at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio, Texas.

DUG Eagle Ford lined up an outstanding group of oil and gas industry experts to speak at the conference. The event featured Taya Kyle, widow of Navy SEAL sharpshooter Chris Kyle. His bestselling novel was adapted into the hit 2014 film, American Sniper. Taya is co-founder of the Chris Kyle Frog Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to helping returning veterans re-adjust to civilian life. She spoke about family and patriotism as the keynote speaker at the October 26 networking luncheon. There were a barrage of teary eyes as Taya touched the emotions of the audience. Her motivating story of love, loss and life lifted the spirit of those in attendance and produced an atmosphere of appreciation and determination. Angela Overstreet, COO of Oilfieldlodging.com commented on the keynote speaker “Taya’s message was very humbling. She gave credit of her strength to faith and life lessons with her husband Chris. Her message was very clear, Walk by faith. Doors are being prepared for each of us to walk through. As a nation, we need to support our troops and never forget the sacrifices made for each and every one of us. It’s the little things that make a difference and we should all be a part of making a difference every day. Be in expectation for the unexpected blessings.”
The Oilfieldlodging.com Saloon was an incredible success maintaining that feel of authentic Texas hospitality where many attendees enjoyed their first experiences on horse saddles serving as chairs at the saloon bar. The booth comprised corral like wood fencing, hay bales, tumble weed, authentic ranch ropes and the traditional saloon door and wooden bar. Complimentary beer, wine and shoe shines made this location a great attraction. In addition to the Texas hospitality and flair there was much business discussed during the event. Oilfieldlodging.com took advantage of the many networking opportunities and expanded their client and facility roster with new oil service companies and lodging facilities.
